Pale Ale
ABV 4.5%
A collaboration between The Post Brewing Co., Izzio Artisan Bakery, beer retailers and the beer drinking public (that’s you!) Together we’re creating a sustainable donation to address the issues of food waste and food insecurity in Colorado.
Penny Loafer Pale Ale features up-cycled ciabatta and sourdough bread replacing ⅓ of the grain that went in to make this beer. The result is a highly quaffable, bready pale ale with a touch of Palisade hops for balance, and a crisp finish. The lingering tanginess of sourdough is present after each sip.
To make it taste even better, $1 from every pint of Penny Loafer sold is donated to Metro Caring & Denver Food Rescue. By sharing the financial lift between The POST (during the brewing process), beer retailers (during the purchasing process), and the beer drinking public (by purchasing at $6.33 per pint), we’ve created something that is both sustainable and scalable with much longer-lasting and farther reaching benefits than a simple one-time fundraiser would.
